Terms of use
1. The service
Vair (https://vair.ca) is a web application for tracking hours, issuing invoices, recording expenses and preparing HST figures. It is provided free of charge to people who create an account. We may change or discontinue features; we will give reasonable notice before discontinuing the service and you will be able to export your data first.
2. Your account
You must give accurate details, keep your password private and tell us promptly about any unauthorized use. You are responsible for everything done under your account. One person per account; accounts are not transferable.
3. Your content
Invoices, receipts, hours, client details and everything else you enter remain yours. You grant us only the rights needed to store, process, display and e-mail that content on your instructions (for example sending an invoice to a client you entered). You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use Vair to send unsolicited e-mail, to invoice for anything unlawful, to probe or disrupt the service, or to upload malicious files. We may suspend accounts that do.
5. Taxes and accounting
Vair calculates HST and other figures from what you enter and from what its receipt reader extracts. Those figures are a convenience, not tax, legal or accounting advice. Check them, and check with a professional, before filing anything.
6. Availability and liability
The service is provided "as is". We work to keep it available and backed up, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or data loss, to the fullest extent permitted by the law of Ontario. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Ending the relationship
You can stop using Vair at any time and ask us to delete your account. Because invoices and receipts are business records, we keep them for seven years after they were created unless the law allows earlier deletion; see the Privacy Policy.
8. Changes and law
These terms may be updated; the date above says when. Material changes will be announced in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and Canada.
